Flight 93 Memorial
ORC was hired by the National Park Service (NPS) to provide relocation advisory services for a large salvage yard that was acquired by the NPS as part of the permanent memorial commemorating those who bravely fought against terrorism on United Flight 93 on September 11, 2001. ORC provided relocation technical assistance with a complex business move. Jointly with the client, ORC developed moving specifications, obtained bids, analyzed bids, and provided move alternatives for evaluation. ORC also reviewed claims and prepared supporting documentation in support of various payments.
Faneuil Hall
The National Park Service (NPS) retained ORC to provide professional relocation services for the move of eleven (11) businesses located at historic Faneuil Hall in Boston, MA. The NPS, in conjunction with the City of Boston, will initiate a construction/rehabilitation project of Faneuil Hall, which requires the relocation of the existing merchant tenants. This work includes meeting with all business tenants to explain the relocation assistance benefits available under the Uniform Act, and to determine the most appropriate method of moving the personal property associated with the business.
ORC assisted each business with the preparation of claims, assembled all documentation necessary to support claims, and submitted claims to NPS for approval. ORC reviewed all claims prior to submittal to ensure compliance with Uniform Act requirements. In addition, ORC will deliver a final report to the National Park Service summarizing the relocation project. This report will include copies of documentation of advisory assistance provided, relocation claim forms, and supporting documentation required under the Uniform Act.
