O. R. Colan Associates and ORC Training are pleased to announce that Ted Pluta, Bob Merryman and Lisa Barnes were all recognized as “Instructors of Excellence” for 2009 by the National Highway Institute (NHI). This award is truly an honor for these ORC employees. In a letter from Richard J. This is the third year in a row Ted Pluta has been recognized as an “Instructor of Excellence”. That is quite an accomplishment! Bob Merryman was also named as an “Instructor of Excellence” in 2007. Ted and Bob both achieved an overall ranking of 4.8 on a scale of 5.0, while Lisa received a ranking of 4.7.
These instructors met the following NHI criteria to be eligible for this award:

- Achieved NHI Certification
For all of you who have had the opportunity to attend a course with any of these talented instructors, you know that this distinction is well-deserved. They are among the top experts in the right-of-way profession who always make the learning experience worthwhile.
